CeeDee Lamb Receiving Yards 79.5

Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles

Over · Take

CeeDee Lamb's target volume gives the Over 79.5 a strong foundation, and Philadelphia has recently allowed explosive passing plays. Lamb averaged 14.7 targets over his last three games with a 31.4% target share; his 25.9% targets per offensive snap also shows how frequently Dallas looks his way when he is on the field. The Cowboys have thrown 246 passes through Week 6, second-most in the NFL, and their pass rate over expected is +4 percentage points, fourth in the league.

Lamb averaged 89.3 receiving yards over his last three games, above this line, but only his 189-yard Week 4 performance cleared it; he had 9 yards in Week 5 and 70 last week. The Week 5 report said a quadriceps contusion bothered him, and his snap share was 57% that game. Last week he was back to an 88% snap share and drew 18 targets, yet finished with 70 yards. That makes the recent conversion dip a real concern: his yards per target over the last three games were 6.1, below his season figure of 8.4.

Philadelphia's explosive-pass rate allowed was 17.75% over its last three games, 31st in the NFL. High-participation receivers have found yardage against them: Puka Nacua had 125 yards on 12 targets with a 90% snap share, and Jalen Coker had 97 yards on 13 targets with a 75% snap share. The Eagles' season completion rate allowed is a stronger counterpoint at 60.37%. Lamb's substantial share and the favorable yardage matchup make the Over more persuasive; another low-conversion game like last week is the clearest way it falls short.

NFL Receiving Yard Props FAQ

An NFL receiving yards prop measures how many yards a player gains on catches in a game, including whatever ground he covers after the catch. Say CeeDee Lamb’s line sits at 72.5 receiving yards. Lamb goes over with 73 yards or more. Anything up to 72 is the under.

Receiving yards run from the line of scrimmage and include whatever the receiver adds after the catch, so a short pass that’s turned into a long gain counts in full. A completion caught behind the line of scrimmage and downed there still counts as receiving yards, minus yards and all, even on a play that’s lost ground. If a receiver catches a pass and then pitches it backward to a teammate, the teammate’s gain still shows up in the receiving yards total on top of what the first receiver picked up. At FanDuel, for example, overtime counts toward a receiving yards prop unless the market says otherwise. The official receiving total logged in the box score after the game’s what settles the bet.

Receiving yards moves with both how often a player’s targeted and how far those targets travel down the field, so his average depth of target matters as much as raw volume. A player who gains ground after the catch can turn short throws into long gains through yards after catch. For how this number differs from a straight catch count, see receptions vs. receiving yards.

A backward lateral can change a receiver’s final number. If he catches a pass and then pitches it back to a teammate, he’s credited only with the yards up to that lateral point, while the teammate’s gain shows up as extra receiving yards without a reception attached to it.
