Dak Prescott Completions 24.5

Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles

Over · Lean

Dak Prescott averaged 30 completions on 47 attempts over his last three games, clearing 24.5 twice: 34 on 54 attempts and 32 on 45. That recent completion average is up from 24.3 in the preceding three games, and Dallas is throwing 4 percentage points more often than expected, fourth in the league through Week 6. His 100% snap share over the last three games supports treating this as a sustained workload rather than a role change.

The main risk is conversion against Philadelphia. Prescott completed 63.83% of his passes over those recent games, below his 66.26% season rate. The Eagles have allowed a 60.37% completion rate, ranking sixth, and their -2.1 percentage points of CPOE allowed ranks ninth. Recent opposing quarterbacks reinforce the concern: Bryce Young had 20 completions, Trevor Lawrence and Case Keenum had 24 each, and Cam Ward had 13; only Matthew Stafford cleared this line, with 32 on 51 attempts. Philadelphia's broader passing efficiency allowed ranks 25th, though, so its completion resistance has not meant uniformly strong pass defense.

The over rests on Dallas sustaining its current throwing workload and Prescott converting near his season rate. His 24 completions on 42 attempts in one of the last three games show how Philadelphia's conversion resistance—or a dip from his recent attempt volume—could leave him short. I favor the over because of Dallas's pass tendency and Prescott's recent volume, but the Eagles' completion results make that preference narrow.

NFL Completion Props FAQ

A completions prop bets on how many of a quarterback’s passes his own team legally catches in a game. Say Dak Prescott’s line sits at 22.5 completions. Complete 23 or more and the over hits. Land on 22 or fewer and the under does.

A completion caught behind the line of scrimmage and downed there still counts as a completion, even though it’s minus yardage on the play. An accepted defensive pass interference penalty records no completion on the play, since the whole play gets wiped out as a penalty. When a receiver catches a pass and then laterals it to a teammate, only the first catch counts as a completion. The lateral that follows doesn’t add a second one. At FanDuel, for example, overtime counts toward completion props unless the market says otherwise.

Completions ride on volume first, so check dropbacks and how a team’s pace sets up the number of throws in a game. Beyond that, it’s worth checking pressure rate and average depth of target, since shorter, quicker throws against a defense that gets home fast tend to complete at a higher rate. The distinction between this market and raw yardage is worth knowing too, covered in passing yards vs completions.
